We finally convinced my brother to sell his house…….little did we realize what we were getting into!!!  A 1970’s side split absolutely filled to the brim with EVERYTHING you could imagine.  Our realtor mentioned Twist of Fate.  Well, we desperately needed help if we were to sell this house before Christmas!!! 

The fellow from Twist of Fate assigned to manage our sale was Jake. Enter an angel👍🏻🙏. 
He was so professional, but I think as importantly, he was kind, patient & understanding. As we got to meet others on their team I sensed a tremendous atmosphere of sweet & very adept people. They each had an area of expertise….be it crystal, silver, electronics, coins, china, furniture, antiques, jewellery.  You name it, they had a “man” for the job!!! Another thing that I loved was how closely they interacted…. like good friends. Better than a team. A united force with our best interests at the centre of every decision. 👍🏻

Would I recommend Twist of Fate? Absolutely in a heartbeat. They saved our lives! In the end generated higher sales, due to the fact they knew exactly how to price things….. many things more valuable than we could have realized.

Twist of Fate helped my family and me during a hard time and provided service that went above and beyond my expectation!

My parents lived in their house almost 50 years. They were from the "have-not" generation so everything they had, they worked hard for, and they kept "just in case".

Their passing left my brother, my adult daughter, and I with a house, a shed and a two-car garage full of things to sort through. The task was daunting  - so much stuff that was too good to throw out, not really useful for us to keep and yet how would we sell it all?!

In came Karena and her amazing crew at Twist of Fate!  They sorted, cleaned and prepared everything for an estate sale at my parents' house. The whole process from start to finish was so easy for us, such a heavy weight lifted off our shoulders!  The staff is so professional, knowledgeable and accommodating  - answering our questions and respecting our wishes. The sale went off without a hitch! Wish we would have found them sooner. I highly recommend them to anyone needing their services!

 I would not hesitate to hire Twist of Fate to conduct an estate sale and to assist in cleaning out a residence. Karena and her staff were excellent from start to finish. Very professional and always very responsive. Karena has a network of support resources to appraise items, and she has an ability to recognize items that may have more value than they appear. The non saleable items are organized for a charity pickup and any garbage is hauled way for a nominal fee. Twist of Fate saved me so much work and worry. It really is a great service.

 Working with Karena and her team made a very difficult decision and task not only manageable but a like a dream. It was daunting and overwhelming just thinking of going through 46 years worth of our parents’ belongings in preparation of selling their home after one went into a care home and the other passed away.

I had the very daunting and stressful task of knowing I needed to sell my antique purse collection. Just the thought of it honestly stressed me out. I waited 5 years to sell it.  I thought "how can I possibly do the research, become familiar with today's market, package, ship them properly and then deal with the questions for each of over 200 purses!!?" I couldn't imagine dealing with it all.

I heard about Karena and Twist of Fate Estate Sales from a friend. When I called Karena, she was on the road to an estate sale but took my call.  She was very informative on her availability and when she thought would be the best time to reconnect.  

We reconnected a while later and from the moment I met her, I knew my purse collection was in the right hands. She didn't even hesitate. That was exactly what I needed, someone who was confident enough to just go ahead and get it done. And boy did she!!! I am nothing but pleased with the process. I know she put a lot of hours into selling them but she never once complained and she was very professional explaining todays market as it was more complex than I realized. I was able to watch the sale and the reviews on each purse sale were excellent. All customers were satisfied with her description, pricing, shipping  etc!!

 Twist of Fate Estate Sales came highly recommended for a Job that required a great deal of work and trust.  We reviewed the comments regarding the previous clients you have worked with.  We needed someone that could be completely trusted, organized, high level of experience in dealing with antiques, and willing to adjust when necessary to suit the needs of the client.

The level of care you and your team gave to every item in the home no matter the value of the items was magnificent.  As the days passed you managed to keep us updated on a regular basis.  

Not only did you manage to schedule private showings, but you also arranged multiple open house viewings.  That alone was not sufficient, so you slipped in an interview with CBC NB which ended up being viewed on CBC National News.

The Team of staff you created are outstanding, we entered the home and was greeted right away by the staff at the entrance.  As we walked through the home additional staff smiled and ask if we needed any assistance.  We watched staff maintain a clean area, interacting with clients, carrying items out when purchased all not knowing that we were the Family of the home.

If the need ever arises, I will contact your company without any hesitations and would also refer your company to any family in need of assistance.  We are so thankful for all that Twist of Fate Estate Sales has done to assist us during a difficult time.

When my parents had to downsize into a two bedroom apartment from their house, there was a lot of work to do. Luckily, all we had to do was move my parents and leave everything else behind. 

Karena, said “trust me”, and that’s what I decided to do.

She cleaned up the house, she cleaned each item and lovingly set them up and displayed it in the most amazing way. 

We didn’t know that estate sales were for ‘normal people’ like us. We didn’t have a mansion, we didn’t have expensive items. We just had a house full of stuff that needed to go. And Karena made it all go !

The few things that were left, she packed up to be donated, and we were left with a completely empty house that we could just put on the market. I really don’t know what we would’ve done without Karena and her team.

 Twist of Fate Estate Sales just completed a fabulous three day estate sale and to say it was a success is an understatement.  Karena and her staff are a wonderful group of professionals whose work ethic and compassion exceeded all my expectations.

Throughout this difficult process of going through my Mother’s belongings, Karena and her staff stepped in and took charge of what looked like a daunting and overwhelming task for me to undertake.  They calmed my fears, answered all my questions all the while dealing with my rollercoaster of emotions.  They were so caring and compassionate and always took  time to include me in all areas of the sale.

At first I questioned whether I was doing the right thing but, in no time at all, I became aware that reaching out to Karena and hiring Twist of Fate was the best decision I ever made.  From the very beginning of the process, to when the sale was over, to finalizing all the arrangements they were so professional, thorough and totally helpful and I am so happy and thankful that Twist of Fate came to my rescue and removed all the stress and worry from this situation.

Karena and her team were lifesavers. We had to quickly clean out my in-laws house to get it listed for sale. The house was FULL! We all lived out of town and left everything to Twist of Fate. They worked quickly to sell bigger items and called in appraisers when necessary. They organized what was left for a huge estate sale. Karena kept us updated regularly at every step. She is very trustworthy and professional and we highly recommend her services to those in similar situations.

Twist of Fate helped me during a very difficult time. Karena was very prompt in responding to my needs. She also acted as a third party in dealing with family heirlooms; which took the stress away from me by dealing with other family members demanding transparency. They also showed me they can be trusted. I forgot to lock one of the storage buildings on the estate that had many valuable tools etc. Karena informed me of the unlocked building, which could have been easily emptied by thieves. Also found them very knowledgeable on the value of items such as paintings and antiques. I was more than happy with their service and the payout.
